Why Choose Auto Tracking?

Amaryllo cameras come equipped with auto-tracking capability*. There are several inherent advantages that come with choosing a camera featuring auto-tracking functionality over a camera that doesn’t.

Perhaps the most obvious benefit is that fewer cameras are required to fully monitor a large room or area. Due to the cameras being able to track movement vertically or horizontally, fewer cameras would need to be purchased, resulting in a large amount of savings.

Amaryllo’s cameras featuring auto-tracking are also innately superior at monitoring and recording what is actually important. Cameras lacking auto-tracking functionality may fail to capture or focus on movement occurring near the extremities of the frame. Imagine how frustrating it would be to not capture a clear image of a would-be thief scoping out your neighborhood due to your home security camera lacking auto-tracking capability!

Selected Amaryllo cameras are capable of monitoring a complete 360 degrees - completely eliminating any potential blind spots in your home security setup. All Amaryllo cameras that are able to monitor a full 360 degrees utilize PIR sensors to detect movement occurring outside the field of view of the camera lens. When the PIR sensors detect any moving, heat-generating objects, they command the camera to pan in the direction of the activity and the camera will capture the movement on video. Alerts and recordings function exactly the same as if the activity was detected by the camera lens.

The video below demonstrates how effective Ares is at 360-degree auto-tracking.
