Turning On and Off Privacy Mode

Welcome to Amaryllo! Most of the time, it’s a reassurance to know your property is being monitored and safeguarded by our advanced biometric cameras. However, there are always times when you would prefer to temporarily turn off your camera. The Amaryllo app streamlines this process with our easy to use Privacy mode. Toggling this mode will disable the camera and microphone, without powering down the entire device.

To activate this feature, first launch the Amaryllo app. Make sure that your camera is also connected to power and turned on. You will notice that the dot next to the camera name is green, indicating that the device is online and privacy mode is currently turned off. The privacy icon is located in the main toolbar at the bottom. Tapping on the icon will prompt you to toggle Privacy mode.

Tap “yes”, and the camera will turn off and rotate back to its off position. The camera status dot will now be red, indicating that the camera and microphone are both disabled. You will also notice that the Privacy icon in the toolbar is now red as well.

If you try to view the live stream from your camera, it will inform you that it is in privacy mode and cannot open the live stream. Once you want to exit privacy mode, simply tap on the icon again, and follow the prompt to select “yes”. Once you see the status dot return to green, your camera is ready to record audio and video again!
