We Care About Your Privacy

Recently, there have been several data breach incidents that have occurred in the smart surveillance industry. Here at Amaryllo, user privacy is our top priority. Given the circumstances, we would like to tell you a little bit more about our security and privacy measures.

Amaryllo is the only smart home service provider who employs 256-bit military-grade encryption certified by Microsoft Skype to transmit data. 256-bit encryption is one of the most secure encryption methods available and is frequently used in most modern encryption algorithms, protocols, and technologies, including AES and SSL. To put this into context, many banks only use 128-bit encryption, whereas all government agencies and the military requires the use of 256-bit encryption. It would take fifty supercomputers and 3x10^51 years to crack this level of security!

In addition, Amaryllo uses secure cloud servers to store video recordings. We do not use our own cloud or physical servers, further enhancing user security and privacy as our company does not have access to users' information.

However, encryption and cloud storage isn’t the only important factor to consider when handling sensitive data. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) implemented by the EU secures all citizens’ rights to protect their personal data against companies looking to use it. Similarly, the California Consumer Privacy Act which became effective on January 1, 2020 safeguards consumers’ privacy when interacting with businesses. Amaryllo has anticipated this paradigm shift towards consumer privacy and security, and all of our cameras are GDPR and CCPA compliant.

Users can toggle the CCPA/GDPR compliant mode to avoid invading other people's privacy accidentally. All the captured faces will be pixelated automatically when this function is on.

With Amaryllo, feel safe and secure without compromising your security.
